The 2025 Japanese GP odds suggest that one of the McLaren-Mercedes will win again. As a reminder, Lando Norris won the first race of the season, while his colleague, Oscar Piastri, won the second.

If either of them does it, it’s going to be the first time for this team to get a win in Japan in 14 years. In recent years, this event has been dominated by Max Verstappen – who won the last three times – and Lewis Hamilton.

McLaren-Mercedes Drivers Favored to Win the 2025 Japanese GP

Lando Norris is the No. 1 favorite to win the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix, with the odds of +150. Just behind him is his teammate Oscar Piastri with +175 odds.

The reason for this is obvious – these guys are the only race winners in the 2025 Formula 1. Norris won the season opener in Australia, putting on arguably the best performance of his entire career.

He did fine in China as well, recording the fastest lap and finishing second overall despite having some engine problems during the race.

The man who won the race was Piastri who completed it in just 1:30:55.026, which is almost 10 seconds faster than what Verstappen did a year before.

Is It Time for Max Verstappen’s First Win of 2025?

Max Verstappen is the defending Formula 1 champion, who at one point was considered a potential GOAT of the sport. Two years ago, he broke all sorts of records, winning the F1 crown somewhere around the middle point of the season.

Last season, he started in the fifth gear as well, but then his performances dropped significantly. It was partially his fault, partially of his team, and partially of his car that malfunctioned several times during that campaign.

Everyone thought that Red Bull’s fixed all the issues, but Verstappen & Co. still aren’t doing as great as in the past. Sure, the Dutchman did finish second in Australia and fourth in China, but we still haven’t seen him win a race in 2025.

2025 Japanese GP Prediction

Who’s going to win the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix? Betting odds favor Norris and Piastri, but we think Verstappen could stage an upset. He and his team are desperate for a win that would ramp up confidence. Given that he’s got some good memories from Japan, we wouldn’t be surprised if he won this race again.

Pick: Max Verstappen
