Underdog Fantasy Settles with NYSGC for $17.5 Million
Underdog Fantasy, a popular Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) operator, has reached a settlement of $17.5 million with the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC). Despite temporarily withdrawing from New York, Underdog remains committed to returning to the Empire State. The company has applied for a permanent fantasy sports license and is working with the commission to resume operations soon.

While facing challenges in New York, Underdog is focusing on expanding its operations in other states. The company plans to launch its Pick’em Champions product in New Jersey and Delaware, aligning with its growth strategy while adhering to local regulations.
Underdog has also adjusted its business model in different states to comply with varying regulatory frameworks. In 16 states, the company offers peer-to-peer games under the Champions brand, allowing for continued expansion in the US market.
